Pensamiento computacional (PC) en la educación: aprendizajes y desempeño académico

Esta investigación analiza la relación entre el pensamiento computacional y el desempeño académico de los estudiantes. Aborda la definición, componentes, enfoques pedagógicos efectivos, el impacto en el aprendizaje de matemáticas, ciencias y otras áreas del currículo, así como los factores influyentes en su enseñanza y aprendizaje. Metodológicamente el estudio es bibliográfico, se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva en bases de datos especializadas en educación seleccionando las investigaciones más relevantes, influyentes y recientes. El análisis crítico y sistemático de la bibliografía trajo como resultado la identificación de los principales hallazgos y conclusiones en este campo de estudio. Se concluye que el pensamiento computacional es una habilidad esencial para el siglo XXI, permite a los estudiantes comprender y utilizar la tecnología en su vida diaria y en el desempeño de sus futuros trabajos. Se recomienda que la enseñanza se integre en otras áreas del currículo utilizando enfoques pedagógicos basados en proyectos y resolución de problemas, así como en lenguajes de programación.
This research analyzes the relationship between computational thinking and student academic performance. It addresses the definition, components, effective pedagogical approaches, the impact on learning of mathematics, science and other areas of the curriculum, as well as the factors influencing their teaching and learning. Methodologically, the study is bibliographic, an exhaustive search was carried out in databases specialized in education, selecting the most relevant, influential and recent research. The critical and systematic analysis of the bibliography resulted in the identification of the main findings and conclusions in this field of study. It is concluded that computational thinking is an essential skill for the 21st century, enabling students to understand and use technology in their daily lives and future jobs. It is recommended that teaching be integrated into other areas of the curriculum using pedagogical approaches based on projects and problem-solving, as well as programming languages.
