Section policies

  • Original research articles: This type of research emphasizes criteria such as the relevant design of the study, theoretical and methodological logic, rigor in handling of information and methods, the reliability of results, as well as discussion and conclusions. Submissions must have a maximum length of 6500 words and a minimum of 5500, including figures, notes, and references.
  • Review articles: They are characterized by their purpose of contributing to the updating and recapitulation of new knowledge by presenting a critical review of the literature, appropriately citing bibliographic references (between 60 and 70 works), and by complementing in an argued manner, an assessment of the validity established for their conclusions.
  • Essays: In this type of study, authors critically reflect on current theories and concepts to open new debates within the discourse community.
  • Portraits: This text is characterized by the description of the most significant aspects of an individual with an academic and professional background that uniquely distinguishes him/her for their work in a specific disciplinary area. It highlights their most notable achievements and contributions in teaching, research, cultural dissemination, and professional performance.
  • Book reviews: These reviews address specialized books in education and/or psychology, preferably published within the last five years. Their length typically ranges from 2500 to 3000 words.
